At GVA Enterprises, our track record speaks for itself. Here are just a few examples of how we helped our customers overcome a specific transportation challenge.
Client: MOL Logistics
Challenge: Coordinate direct vessel discharge.
GVA Enterprises arraigned and delivered sequentially several import super-loads from a US port to the US mid-west. The multi-line trucks, thirteen-axle and nine-axle units, loaded ship-side saving shore-side crane costs. The cargo on a nine-axle was crated. It was determined that this case, 13'10” high and top-heavy, was not structurally strong enough to accommodate securing over the top. We therefore opened the crate and secured the machine directly to the trailer. On a subsequent move, where GVA Enterprises was not involved, the same shipper experienced significant cargo damage due to a case being secured to the conveyance and not the machine.
“GVA Enterprises has been instrumental in many of our major project moves. They have been outstanding in their assistance from quotation and start-up planning to fallow through on any operation assigned. GVA is knowledgeable, available and responsive, attributes not seen enough in the logistics industry”.
- Meg Benning, MOL Logistics
Client: Meiko America
Challenge: Deliver an import production line from a US port to Canada .
GVA Enterprises picked up and delivered all 47 cases on time and in good “noted order”. This move highlights the benefit of one of the tenants of our project operating methodology. On any movement of size or complexity, GVA Enterprises offers the option of on-site supervision at any major interchange. In this instance we attended the cargo immediately after vessel discharge. Upon inspection we noted damage and marshalling of the cargo in an unacceptable fashion. The damage was addressed with the customer and our vendors made the necessary adjustments to their load plans resulting in on time deliveries. Our customer instructed the terminal operator to move the cargo to the prior agreed to condition “under cover”.
“We are extremely happy with your service. It is a pleasure working with you”.

Client: NGK Ceramics USA, Inc.
Challenge: Deliver an import project over a year's time frame. There were 60 O/D loads requiring six vendors with very “low” trailers.
GVA Enterprises completed the project on time, on budget, and on schedule without any additional charges such as demurrage or detention. All the trucks were pre-stowed enabling quick port turn-times and reduced costs to our customer.
“…The mechanical has gone wonderfully. The whole project has gone without a glitch. I only hope future shipments from Japan can be delivered as promptly and as professionally as this job has been. Great job! And thank you”.

Challenge: Analysis of a North American import supply chain.
GVA Enterprises provided consulting services to analyze the importation of 12,500 loads throughout North America . Through the use of specialized chassis and permits, where available, we were able to demonstrate a potential savings of three and half million USD. Complimenting the savings was a total volume shipped reduction of 15%.

Challenge: Transport a production line domestically within the US .
GVA Enterprises and their vendors were tested with an assignment that required moving 13'4” high by 11' wide loads 850 miles through 5 states in a day and half. The tight schedule was the result of the supplier's production capacity and the GC's schedule at the construction site. We delivered all 13 loads on time, with the exception of one that was 5 hours late due to the product not being available.
